Ok so if you were growing up as a military brat in el paso like myself you probably didnt care much to go on post for lunch or to see a movie. Well now im happy to say that our beloved once bland ft bliss has experienced an outstanding 455,875 sq ft facelift. It’s about friggin time.

The new center is called Freedom Crossing and it is certainly not an eyesore. well something that costs $100 million better NOT be. i must admit that i am impressed with everything from signage to architecture. They put some lovin into this project as seen in the seasonal decor, outdoor fireplace, weatherized foosball, and lounging patio furniture. iLOVE it yall.

i like that ft bliss was chosen for this “experiment” to help create a symbiotic relationship between the civilian and military community. It created 900 jobs and will generate $5.5 million a year for our city. Civilians with state issued identification are permitted to shop at the center if they enter base through the Cassidy & Lee gate weekdays only from 9am-11pm.

All this is good to know, but all i can really think about is why now? ugh… i remember when we were little the only place we could grab a bite was Burger King. Nope, not anymore. New military brats have a variety of satisfactory edibles to choose from; Smashburger, Starbucks Coffee, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sarku Japan, Arby’s, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Junga Juice, and Baskin Robins just to name a few. Plus, theres a brand new theater. It actually shows NEW releases, not just one old one like the one we used to go to. Aww I remember seeing 5th element with my siblings in that loud single screen building they called a theater. Like O.Mmmmm.G… cheers to the spoiled brats!!!!!!!! toodle.looo.hoo

 

I Gotta Be A Friggin’ Steam Punk!

Ok so this is absolutely splendid. i am a huge fan of art deco. Some of my friends have already seen my fascination for this stuff. It’s like o.m.goddess divine! Well, my sort of DIVINE anyway. Check them out. They got a variety of unisex things like pins, cuffs, money clips, &  goggles. i found them while browsing through etsy. Of course i typed in “art deco.”
